Black Scoria, also known as Lava Rock, are rocks formed by volcanoes. Black Scoria is porous and holds a lot of moisture which helps to retain the humidity for the plant. Our Black Scoria is ready to use no need to sift. Also when fertilizing a tree, the Scoria's porousness helps to retain the fertilizer nestled in its cavity. Upon completion of fertilizing the plant, Scoria will continue to preserve the fertilizer and help it to last longer. Another added benefit to Scoria is that it can be reused later on for training trees.
